A turbocharged 3.3-liter inline-six engine powers the Mazda CX-70, and it’s available in two states of tune. In low-output form, the engine delivers 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. The high-output iteration of the powerplant produces 369 lb-ft of torque and 340 horsepower. 

An i-ACTIV AWD® system is standard as is an eight-speed automatic transmission. The i-ACTIVE AWD® system keeps the SUV sure-footed even when the roads are slick. Gear shifts are smooth and quick thanks to the transmission’s enviable responsiveness.  

With the appropriate equipment, the Mazda CX-70 can tow as much as 5,000 lbs. If you’re new to towing, adding the optional tow hitch view camera will ease your nerves.

A lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist is also standard. The lane departure warning will issue an alert if you unintentionally drift outside your lane markers. Lane-keeping assist will then steer your SUV back to the middle of your lane.

When you take a seat inside the SUV’s cabin, you’ll notice the 12.3-inch infotainment display. You can operate that display using a smartphone because Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity are standard. The Mazda CX-70 is the first Mazda model that’s eligible for Alexa Built-In.
